Christmas In Class 1 !! Ho Ho Ho !!

Busy Days

We have been very busy in Class 1 over the past couple of weeks. This week we went for a nature walk looking out for certain things such as webs, berries, squirrels and birds. Class 1 have been very busy learning all about ‘Firework’ night , the children have learnt all about the history of November the 5th. They have created some great firework art work and have enjoyed making some firework words from natural things in ‘Forest School .  


                                        We have been learning all about harvest time in Class 1 , the children prepared and made a wonderful harvest feast. Head Lice

Please could you all check your child’s hair on a daily basis as it has come to our attention that there has been reports of ‘Head Lice’ in school since the start of term. It is really important to check hair and treat if any lice are found, as we can only keep on top of this problem if we work together.

Autumn Term

The children in Class 1 have all settled really well . We have been busy getting used to new routines. They have been learning to use numbers up to 20, and have enjoyed our new Pie Corbett story ‘The Magic Porridge Pot’. We also enjoyed a visit to the castle to learn about Welsh Legends.

Look at Rhuddlan

Foundation Phase ‘Sports Day’

                             ‘Sports Day’ was a real success this year. The sun shone and so did the children, who all ran and jumped and skipped with vigor. The children really enjoyed the different races, and were cheered on by family and friends. Well done everyone !!

Growing Plants

This week we have been learning about our new topic of ‘Growing Plants’ , we have had fun in our role play ‘Garden Centre’ potting up seeds and learning how plants grow. We had a wonderful day on Wednesday at Erddig House in Wrexham. The children stepped back in time and became’ Victorian’ children for the day. They wore mop and flat caps and aprons, and learnt all about how the ‘Victorians’ lived. It was a fantastic day and the weather was good.
