Saying goodbye

We bid a sad farewell to our caretaker Bryan Clayton today at his funeral in St Asaph. I am glad I had the opportunity to say how we all felt about him and the contribution he made to life here at Ysgol y Castell. He will be greatly missed but we all have treasured memories of his time with us.


Sad news

Dear Parent(s)/Carers, It is with great sadness that I inform you of the sudden death of Mr Brian Clayton, caretaker in our school. Mr Clayton became ill at school  and sadly later passed away in hospital. He was very popular, valued and well-loved within school. End of half term

Well here  we are at the end of yet another half term. Another term flies by!

We enjoyed a brilliant Easter Service at St Mary’s Church this afternoon to round off another busy term at Ysgol y Castell. Thanks to everyone who made Easter Bonnets or hats for today they looked fabulous. Enjoy the holidays


Sport Relief

We have had a brilliant afternoon taking part in our sponsored walk for ‘Luke’s Fund’ – raising money to help pay for the adaptations required to the house to be able to bring Luke home to Rhuddlan. Thanks to everyone – especially Miss Cross for organising things. Let’s hope we have raised lots of money!!!


Eisteddfod y Castell 2016

We enjoyed a fantastic Eisteddfod this afternoon. All the children performed really well across a range of competitions. Llongyfarchiadau  i Jonathan Dracup whose became this year’s Bard. unfortunately he was unwell so did not make the ceremony.
